Associate Pastor of Adult Ministry

Length of Position: Full Time

 

Summary of Position: The Associate Pastor is responsible to glorify God making mature disciples of Christ through the organization and equipping of the church towards the mission and vision of the church. 

 

Qualifications:

  • A growing relationship with Jesus that is modeled both in public and private life.

  • A shepherding heart for people exhibiting strong decision making, listening, and care for others.

  • A self starter motivated by excellence. 

  • Passion for organization and cooperation amongst followers of Christ. 

  • Gifted in organization and administration

  • History of regular church attendance and ministry service required.

  • Past experience in organizational ministry, and the use of technology in ministry required. 

  • College degree in a related field highly preferred.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work alongside the Elders and Pastoral staff to oversee the church’s disciple making processes.  

  • Organize and administrate all weekend worship gatherings in partnership with the Senior Pastor and worship volunteers. 

  • Teach/lead weekly adult Sunday School and/or small group ministries

  • Develop ministry teams including supporting the vision and direction of each team to accomplish the mission, vision, and goals of the church. 

  • Train and equip church members and attendees to maximize their impact within the body of Christ.

  • Assist in development of assimilation and connection strategies for connecting church attendees to available ministries. 

  • Work alongside Senior Pastor to identify areas of ministry growth/improvement and collaborate for improvement strategies. 

  • Work alongside office manager to ensure up to date and effective informational resources for all ministries (website, centerpointe, announcements slides)

  • Work alongside office manager to schedule and execute regular communications regarding upcoming ministry opportunities, team responsibilities, and pertinent timelines. 

  • Assist the Senior Pastor with teaching, visiting, and meeting the needs of the church and community as needed.

  • Other jobs and duties as assigned.

 

Reports to:

- The Senior Pastor

 

Compensation:

  • Competitive Salary (commensurate with experience and qualifications). 

  • Vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.

  • Health coverage including out of pocket expense coverage or reimbursement

  • Yearly ministry budget for library, meetings, conferences, and ministry supplies.​
